Keonea came to Goodwill to complete Community and Facility-Based Work Adjustment classes and never left! Upon completing her class curriculum, taught by Jean Mansfield, Keonea was hired as a part time Retail Associate at our Virginia Avenue store. In her classes and training, Keonea learned a variety of skills, like computer and typing skills, organizational skills, and other soft skills. At Virginia Avenue, she pulls clothing, hangs up new merchandise, and keeps the store tidy by picking up broken hangers and trash. Her former teacher, Jean, commended Keonea for the way she takes her time with her tasks to make sure it’s done right. Keonea is very fond of Jean, and has the biggest smile when Jean comes to talk to her. Outside of work, Keonea loves to play games on her iPad, especially Candy Crush! She also enjoys spending time with her two brothers and pets. Keonea has made some amazing progress since she has been with us, and can’t wait to watch her continue to thrive.
